Metro

Ok..So.. Traditionally, (and when the opportunity permits) when I write a blog about a restaurant, it's about the food.  In this case, I'm going to write a few words about service.

Bottom line, this place has got it down pat. Metro really knows what they are doing in both service and food. From the hostess to the manager, everyone subscribes to the same service philosophy.

I consider myself pretty discerning when it comes to service, so when I find a place that has it without batting an eye gets it, I have got to say something!

Foodies Like Us recently had a "Twitter Dine-around" that began at Metro and then moved over to its sister property The Estate House. Two words...  Awesome Time!   General Manager Alicia Jorgensen has really built a strong team over at the Southbridge group.  They are accommodating at any opportunity!  They'll probably do your taxes if you asked them to.

Another big plus is the price point!  Most brasseries have a very high price point per person.  Their menus offer very reasonable entrees and you can walk out of there without taking a home equity loan to pay for your meal. They just started offering a great happy hour and combined with the fact that our weather is cooling down, live bands (i.e. good bands) are starting to play right outside their expansive patio.

In this economy (I hate staring sentences with that line) restaurants are cutting corners. Unfortunately it starts with service.  In Metro's case, they are able to balance service with reasonable prices so elegantly, I'll find myself there week over week enjoying a Raspberry Press.  Come join me!
